U.S. Department of Transportation:

No Motor Carrier shall permit or require any driver used by it to drive a passenger-carrying commercial motor vehicle, nor shall any such driver drive a passenger-carrying commercial motor vehicle:

(1) More than 10 hours following 8 consecutive hours off duty; or

(2) For any period after having been on duty 15 hours following 8 consecutive hours off duty.

Motorcoach transportation is the safest on the highway. However,  accidents that do involve buses often point to driver fatigue as a major cause.  Economic, consumer and scheduling demands often drive this problem. Your Reservation Agent will ensure your Charter stays within these guidelines.  This doesn't mean that your vehicle can not operate 24 hours in a day, just a single Driver.  Your Reservation Agent will ensure a Second Driver and/or Relay Drivers are scheduled when needed.  It is for these reasons that your Charter Itinerary is as detailed as possible at the time of booking.
